Got some information: Several LIN interfaces, I think it was 3, 5 or 6 CAN channels, 256 Flash and 24K RAM. As far as I remember the press release the availability was forcasted to Q4/04. Guess the target audience is very clear, Automotive only. The LPCs have a more industrial oriented device (could also be Automotive but not so clear), the LPC2129. Major difference between the LPC devices and the SJA 2020 are the package options. While the LPC come in small stand-alone flash derivatives housed in 48-pin and 64-pin packages, the SJA 2020 is a 144-pin device. There will be also 144-pin devices of the LPCs but in the announcement nothing was mentioned about a small SJA 2020. Hope this provides the information you were looking for. No idea about prices or a roadmap for the SJA 2020. This device must come from a different group within Philips and it makes us wonder why the automotive device with a very similar block diagram does not come from the microcontroller group?!? May be for keycustomers only? Cheers, Bob
