Has anyone info on the SJA2020 device ?

It looks simular to the other LPC devices.

Hi,

All I have at this stage is that the SJA2020 is an automotive part
with 24 K SRAM.

Apparently, when Philips migrate to 0.14u (in a couple of years) the
ARM derivatives could feature up to 256k SRAM.

Got some information:
Several LIN interfaces, I think it was 3, 5 or 6 CAN channels, 256
Flash and 24K RAM. As far as I remember the press release the
availability was forcasted to Q4/04. Guess the target audience is very
clear, Automotive only. The LPCs have a more industrial oriented
device (could also be Automotive but not so clear), the LPC2129.
Major difference between the LPC devices and the SJA 2020 are the
package options. While the LPC come in small stand-alone flash
derivatives housed in 48-pin and 64-pin packages, the SJA 2020 is a
144-pin device. There will be also 144-pin devices of the LPCs but in
the announcement nothing was mentioned about a small SJA 2020.

Hope this provides the information you were looking for. No idea about
prices or a roadmap for the SJA 2020. This device must come from a
different group within Philips and it makes us wonder why the
automotive device with a very similar block diagram does not come from
the microcontroller group?!? May be for keycustomers only?

Cheers, Bob

Hi Eric (I assume),

The SJA2020 is a device for the automotive market.

Basically it has an ARM7 core (up to 60MHz) , 256K/24K Flash/Ram,
6 CAN, 4 LIN, and of cause adc/timers/uart/rtc/wd etc :-)

I found a brochure at:
http://www-
us.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/literature/9397/75012509.pdf
(hope it's allowed to post links overhere .. else .. sorry !!)

The SJA2020 seems to be the first of a family to come.
