Hi All, I have a problem and maybe you can help me. I've designed a board with two LM1117 LDO regulators which are set to 3.3V and 1.8V they work fine... except that they both draw 5.1mA in quiescent current which makes my battery driven application useless... (I know it is stated in the datasheet but I didn't think when I made the decision to use it) The housing for these monsters are TO-252 arranged in this way: Pin: 3 Voltage input 2 Voltage output 1 Adjust pin Where pin 2, is the tap and the footprint is viewed from above. I will never draw more than 75mA in my application on the 3.3V rail and about 5mA on the 1.8V rail If you've heard of any regulator with a lower quiescent current please speak up I've been searching the net for hours now but unable to find anything... Even a leaded TO92 style regulator would be fine as I'm desperate... Best regards Lasse Madsen
