I was pleased to see the announcement of the 2101/2/3. What it means to me is that there is little reason to use an 8-bitter in a new design any more. I've been watching the ARM uC field develop for the last few years I've recently decided that the LPC2xxx will do nicely as my next bread-n-butter processor. However, on the low end the need for an external 1.8V regulator, external reset, and clock add another buck to the BOM. If you look at the low end 8-pin AVRs and PICs 8-bitters they have all three built in. IMHO, that's half of their charm. philips_apps wrote: >Hi Michel, > >why am I not surprised that questions about planned devices are some >of the first comments when announcing new ones ;-) > >Some answers some question will remain unanswered. >- More internal Flash, well, have a look at the LPC214x which is >rather similar in features but goes up to 512 KB Flash. >- Philips and Cortex?
