How to add waitstates to a memory transfer externally?

How to add waitstates to a memory transfer externally?

2005-11-04 by skymab

Hi,

my problem is that I've got a peripheral device which is included in
my system's memory space and the device want's to delay the transfer
cycle of the ARM. Sometimes it can happen that the device needs 100ns
and the other time it just needs 20ns. But I don't want to slow down
the ARM to always 100ns :-(

Does anyone have got a solution for my problem?

Thx in advance!

It would help if you told us what processor you are using and if you are
using the GPIO pins for the transfer or a memory interface???
