lpc214x USB peripheral orgin?

Is the lpc214x USB peripheral based off a standalone part?
Or was it designed from the ground up and does not resemble another Phillips
part?

(This is a reply to a message from december 1st, 2005)

I was just browsing through a document about the Philips PDIUSB11 and
at least the protocol command codes and endpoint error codes are very
similar to the ones in the LPC214x.

USB - ATA controller (MassStorage)
USB - EPP

Not as instantly gratifying as the IAR MMC/SD example, but none the less
interesting.
