LPC2292 and lattice JTAG cable for insight/GDB

I would like to know if lattice CPLD programming cable can be used with LPC2292 for programing and debugging with GDB/Insight .. I have JLink as well but seems woking very slow and would like to try parallel port JTAG and this one is handy for me . Please let me know if any one has tried something like this or any direction to use it... Thanks k b
