Interfacing 8 bit controller

Interfacing 8 bit controller

2006-04-26 by vaibhav chauhan

well it could be odd to ask peoples of 32-bit about 8-bit......

But can i connect a 8-bit controller with a 16-bit or 32-bit external memory .You can take any architect Intel [8051] or Motorola[68XX].

a hardware approach to solution will be preferred.

thanks to those who deserve it

Hi vaibhav,

This is no problem you just cannot utilize the upper 8/16/24 bits unless you
use regular I/O pins to address the high bits of the databus.

Best regards
