.. a book that might be worth your time is 'Embedded System
Design on a Shoestring'  by Lewin A.R.W. Edwards (amazon.com).
I found it useful and it covers the gnu toolchain.

You really need EPP mode for it to work properly.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
