problems with pathfinder

2004-06-04 by shaneprobinson2000

Hi all. I am relatively new to using the philips 2129 and I am
having some troubles using the flash program utility that comes with
the evaluation version of pathfinder. Intermittantly, when I am
programming I get the following error:

Download verification failed at address 10
Expected: 0x18 Read 0x98

Don't know what this is caused by or what this error means. If any
of you have any suggestions. The code I have written compiles fine
and is just modified version of one of the examples.

Shane.

Shane,

This happens. In my experience if you restart pathfinder you can
usually reflash successfully. In the case that that doesn't work, then
unplug/replug the eval board (shut down pathfinder first; sometimes if
it hangs you have to reboot your computer), restart pathfinder, and try
again.

FWIW, I stop/restart pathfinder between each flash as SOP.

HTH,

Curt

Hi Shane,
Are you using the Ashling FlashISP utility or the flash programming built in
to PathFinder (File|Flash)?. Either method should be solid, just ensure you
are specifying the correct frequency that your target board is running.
Contact me directly if you need further help.
