ADC converter - Burst mode

I am testing the ADC converter on a LPC2294. The user manual is really 'essential' about the ADC. Is there any application note / more detailed description concerning the ADC? Has anybody used before the Burst mode, starting and stopping it with a timer interrupt? Thank you.
