Hello, does anyone here know of a terminal program that can show hex values send to the serial port of a pc? I have tried to send some different hex values to my pc using windows standard terminal, but I can't seem to find any setting, that would allow much other, than characters. Result is just a bunch of smileys and other strange characters... Hope you can advise me on what to do. Regards, Kasper A.

A really good terminal program that I use is called DeTransfer, it can be obtained from www.datataker.com in the downloads section. It is rhandy becuase it has a send and receive window and even allows you to create your own macros for common tasks. The latest version is 3.27 and its free to download. --- In lpc2000@yahoogroups.com, rhasaf <rhasaf@y...> wrote: > Also , beyondlogic site has some kind of portmon > program . > > Regards > > --- unikum888 <xtreme@h...> wrote: > > > --- In lpc2000@yahoogroups.com, Robert Adsett > > <subscriptions@a...> > > wrote: > > > At 06:26 PM 5/31/05 +0000, unikum888 wrote: > > > >Hello, > > > >does anyone here know of a terminal program that > > can show hex > > values > > > >send to the serial port of a pc? > > > > > > realterm > > > > > > http://realterm.sourceforge.net/ > > > > > > They claim V2 is released but only 1.99 seems to > > be available. > > > > > > Robert > > > > > > " 'Freedom' has no meaning of itself. I tried the D/L of Realterm, and I find it a tad poor. I can't seem to eg. set Local echo, altering the font size doesn't work for me.. Is this normal ? B rgds Kris

My team uses Terminal for windows http://bray.velenje.cx/avr/terminal/ it's really good. Display mode can be hex, bin and terminal using macros, can control DTR, RTS wire. --- rjwal3 <rossjwalker@...> wrote: > A really good terminal program that I use is called > DeTransfer, it > can be obtained from www.datataker.com in the > downloads section. That's a nice little terminal program. Does anyone know of a terminal-like program that allows TCP socket connections?
