Need Recommendations on ARM7 In-Circuit Emulator

Need Recommendations on ARM7 In-Circuit Emulator

2005-06-07 by markcrow

If anyone can recommend an ARM7TDMI ICE with Trace capability (ETM
interface) I would very much like to hear from you. And please let me
know what you've tried that DIDN'T work (I've got one brand that
absolutely didn't). I'm wanting to use this on an LPC2214.

Thanks in advance.

Mark,

LPC series uses an ARM7TDMI-S, so a JTAG probe that makes use of RTCK
makes things much easier.

I know of 2 probe manufacturers that can handle both JTAG and ETM:
Agilent and Ashling. I've used Agilent probes for years and liked
them, though they are now pretty expensive. No experience with
Ashling probes.

You'll need software to make use of the ETM data.

Try the Hitex Tanto. It's a good tool.

Is there a price list for the equipment shown on that web site? I'm
interested in the Tanto (or just the Tantino), but I have no idea if it
fits in my budget...

Thanks,
Jim
