RE: JTAG Connect problems

RE: JTAG Connect problems

2004-02-05 by Michael Johnson

Bill,

Have a try at using CrossWorks for ARM (www.rowley.co.uk) - see if we do
any better. As I've mentioned before the LPC nSRST implementation resets
the TAP which makes getting the chip into debug mode potentially
problematic (the processor can run after reset but before getting it
under debug control).

Michael

[lpc2100] RE: JTAG Connect problems

2004-02-05 by Bill Knight

Well, I was able to get the first of my problems resolved. On
someones suggestion (sorry, I don't remember who), I disconnected the
nSRST connection between the JTAG pod and the eval board. In a
sampling of maybe a dozen tries, gdb/ Insight has been able to connect
and download on the first attempt every time. As an interm fix, I
have lifted the output resistor from the nSRST signal inside the JTAG
pod. (stood it on end so it wouldn't become lost)

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and assistance. Now onto why
I'm not seeing disassembled C code in Insight's source window when
requested.
