LPC family member with Ethernet?

LPC family member with Ethernet?

2005-09-21 by Mark Butcher

Hi All

I remember some polls some time ago about which features users were
keen to see in newer devices. If I remember rightly the Ethernet
interface was high in the agenda and there were indications of a new
device with Ethernet support some time in the (near) future (possibly
this year).

Does any one know of the state of progress? Is there something in the
pipeline?

Regards

Hello Mark,

We are indeed working on an LPC2000 family with Ethernet 10/100
MAC.
It will also feature USB On-The-Go or CAN2.0B. You can expect to
see
the devices sampling in Q1 2006.

Since the parts won't be released until next year, I can't share
information on the specs, but I can promise that it will be the most
full-featured, low cost ARM7 family on the market.

Regards,

Philips Microcontroller Marketing

             I'd prefer USB OtG

+ 10/100 TP Phy + USB Phy

Ah, and of course < 2USD :-)

Check in with us early next year for more information on an LPC2000
with Ethernet MAC, USB OTG and CAN on one chip. I can't promise
we'll be under 2 USD though...

It would be really cool if you could provide a development board with
the option to power it up from the ethernet. The LM5070 from National
Semiconductor will let you do this.

Move to quarantaine
