I really love that book. I also enjoyed working through Deverahi's "Complete Guide to Synthesizers" (remember that one?) and Robert Train Adams' "Electronic Music Composition for Beginners". With the current revival of modular synthesizers, is there any market for these books? Even the 'virtual' analogs - from the Nord Modular down to the Red Darkstar - would seem to indicate a revived interest in a more academically defined approach to sound design. Looking at my bookshelf I see Dodge and Jerse's "Computer Music", which I recall does not once contain the word 'MIDI'... ah, the good old days...
