Thanks, John!  All good info, and appreciated.  I have two plywood 
cabinets that are painted black, but I want to cover them with 
snakeskin (!) I have the corners and the feet, and just needed 
reassurance that it wasn't a tricky job, because as you say, the 
stuff's expensive.
