Thanks Jeff.  HA..  This book taught me almost everything I needed to build
the JLH-822. I actually have the preceding op-amp book, but I plan to get
this one too as 555 timers are on my "learn about" list .  The rest I
shamelessly stole from Paul.

Recently purchased the Timer, Op-Amp & Optoelectronic Circuits book by
Forrest Mims (turned on to it by Stooge Larry - what a wonderful guy).  As
a very novice electronics hobbiest I think I learned more about circuits
in 1 hour of reading this book then the hours I've spent looking at synth
circuits.  Best of all, it's less than $6US.  (www.radioshack.com).
