How about something hybrid?  Use the rack ears for the 4 DIN jacks.  Then
make a 1U Stooge panel with all the 1/4" stuff you want.  Make use of
existing space.  Takes up only 1U of module space.

I haven\ufffdt done either one yet because frankly I\ufffdm undecided on which way I
want to go. I am leaning toward the rack ear idea for two reasons. First
space is a premium in my setup. Second I didn\ufffdt want to purchase $$$ a blank
panel for this because my homebrew panel graphics suck so it would not
compliment my MOTM modules.

However, if someone were to do a panel run I could be persuaded to go the
breakout panel route!
