I had the same feeling. This is the same reason I'm trying to rig a 1u front panel power switch for the '900 and leave the '900 mounted on the back of the cabinet. The power cord on the '900 to me shouldn't be sticking out of the front of the case either. To my way of thinking, the only cords that should be "up front" are patchcords. Just piping in. -----Original Message----- From: leitner6 To: motm@yahoogroups.com Sent: 12/5/2002 5:09 PM Subject: [motm] Re: uSeq knob/button placement Does the MIDI IN have to be on the front panel? Everything I have comes through the back of my rack. It just seems like a big wort to have it on the front. I would have to take something from the back of my rack and feed it around to the front and it would be in the way all the time. Even if I had a standalone cabinet I would want to route it through the back. I can't see any use for it on the front unless you were going to constantly repatch MIDI like you would audio/cv.
