It's a 1uF 50V non-polar cap for $0.99. Seems to do the trick. I tried all kinds of caps and followers and such, (ceramics didn't work for me) but had the best results with the 1uF elec. type.(connected between tip to ground). I did notice a little difference in the resulting sound in the track mode. There is a different effect with the cap in place. So I'm still leaning toward a "soft/hard" switch to enable/disable the cap. As far as anyone else getting or not getting a popping sound, your mileage may vary. Remember most of us are building kits, and many variables apply here. My unit didn't go through Paul's QC after assembly. All units were not assembled equally. Who knows what I may have done wrong or different. Terry PS: Oh yeah Paul, Ive been getting the popping in the "hold" mode. It's hard to distinguish if there is any popping in the track mode?
