Greetings- I'd like to connect my MOTM to my old Macintosh power amp but am concerned about the grounding. The amp is a 110v unit w/ a 2 prong power cord that is being powered by a step-down transformer (I'm in Germany everything is 230v) and I'm concerned with my health.... As it stands I have a small mixer (connected to a 230v outlet feeding its DC transformer) on the input and would like to attach the MOTM to this. At the risk of sounding a bit slow, would a star-ground (from how I understand it) keep me in the safe zone? I was planning on running a ground wire from each device and clamping it to the buildings old central heating. Perhaps this is overkill? However I've been juiced here a couple times and one of the shocks knocked me to the ground--thus my angst. I know we've been through different scenarios before but I haven't seen one that covers this issue. Any links or suggestions appreciated. ad - Receive-Transmit Aaron Day aaron@receive-transmit.com - Office: +49 030.231.80965 Mobile: +49 179.750.1854 - Münzstr 21 Berlin 10178. Germany
