Since the input on the 850 came from my circuit, I'll answer this. The pedal input on the 850 will accept one of three different types of inputs. 1. CV from a pedal that does the 0 to whatever voltage. Use the 850 to scale / offset / mix / gate extract from a plain CV pedal or other CV. 2. pot type pedal with wiper wired to ring. 3. pot type pedal with wiper wired to sleeve. The input circuit is set up to work with both these wiring arrangements (2 and 3 above) on a TRS style jack. I have a free bracket (your size choice) and free shipping of bracket to the first listmember to guess / figure out how that works. The bottom line is the two possibilities for pedal wiring TRS jacks (Yamaha uses one and Roland uses the other) both work with the 850 without wiring changes. And, a 1/4 mono jack (as in any CV from pedal or otherwise) works too. The 850 is set up standard to accept 3 common pot sizes. 8.5K (just happens to match Roland EV-5) 50 K, just happens to match Yamaha FC-7 and 100K. Any pot size can be accommodated. A simple resistor change is needed for other sizes to maintain the exact scale on the output. For 8.5K = Roland, set the jumper to "R", for 50K = Yamaha, set to "Y." for 100K, simply remove the jumper. I'd like to abuse it, of course, but could someone tell me what type of input (voltage and connections) it needs? I have no familiarity with the control pedals that would normally be used. Thanks!
