When they came out (mid-70s) they were *way* overpriced. They tried to make too much $$$ of the rack+power supply (errr...Doepfer?) which cost them dearly. The modules were designed by Dr. Richard Cabot, who left and founded Audio Precision. I think that for eBay prices, they are a good value. Yes, any 1970s-80s DVM will need a calibration (about $80). The mini-scope module is cool, as is the function generator. I lusted after this stuff in college :) Paul S.
