I hope I don't offend anybody, but this is not my idea of good software. It's a FileMaker "runtime" application that leaves a lot to be desired both in user interface and in functionality. For instance, it does not allow you to move modules around to experiment with physical layouts or to specify a specific configuration of cabinets to lay out in, and it's not easy to add multiple copies of a module, to delete multiple modules, or to get summaries such as # of modules of each type or total power consumption. Its menus are full of irrelevant FileMaker commands and its own graphical layout is both too small for me and not resizable at all. But hey, it sort of works, it's free, and I'm not volunteering to write a better one, so some people might find it useful. skw On Aug 22, 2005, at 10:33 PM, Paul Schreiber wrote: > http://128.40.57.17/steven/motmulator.zip > > OK, this is an UNTESTED "module planner" for Mac OSX only. > > Somebody load it up (it's big, like 20MB) and tell me if it's worth > perusing and doing a PC version.
