If someone wants a heavier duty case (that weighs more of course!) and doesn't need the popup functionality fixed position cases designed for live mixers can work really well. Here's a picture of a EWI case I'm using. I modified it so the rails are parallel to the case bottom instead of being angled. It's considered a 12U with extra depth. I changed the angle of the rail mounts and swapped in some 14U rails: http://s275.photobucket.com/albums/jj304/JohnLRice/?action=viewt=Port ablePortable2.jpg These cases are a great value! Here's a link to the case on the seller's site (Audiopile.net). It's only $120 plus shipping! http://www.audiopile.net/products/Cases/Mixer_Cases/MXC-12L/MXC-12L_cutsheet .shtml They also have standard 10U and 12U mixer racks you could use as-is or modify to be flat. (only $100 and $110 respectively) http://www.audiopile.net/products/Cases/Mixer_Cases/MXC-008/MXC-008_cutsheet .shtml John L Rice > -----Original Message----- > From: motm@yahoogroups.com [mailto:motm@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of > groovyshaman > Sent: Friday, December 23, 2011 8:35 AM > To: egroups@...; MOTM List > Subject: Re: [motm] cabinet depth > > I have one of these SKB cases.
