You're right-I do try to align the jacks from behind the panel, too
(although I fudge them a little bit this way and that to make sure the nuts
are straight without cracking the jacks through over-tightening).

As far as torque goes, I'm getting the impression that you are the MOTM
Torque King! ("Torque-a-Mot'm"? Spanish Inquisition pun there somewhere...)

		1.  The square sides of the jacks are perfectly aligned when
looking from
		the back.
		2.  The torque-lbs applied to each hex nut is within 5% to
prevent panel
		warpage.  Your compulsion will lead to huge and quite
unacceptable
		variations from standard torque.  That just won't do !!
