You're right-I do try to align the jacks from behind the panel, too
(although I fudge them a little bit this way and that to make sure the nuts
are straight without cracking the jacks through over-tightening).
As far as torque goes, I'm getting the impression that you are the MOTM
Torque King! ("Torque-a-Mot'm"? Spanish Inquisition pun there somewhere...)
