chris,
i kind of know what you mean......granted,this is a motm list but a) i take
the larger view that we are all into modulars first and foremost b) me, i
only have one motm module ( admittedly, i am starting to save up for #2 but
thats besides the point :^) ) but i love the discussions of patch related
ideas because i see them as being, in principle, generic and applicable to
any system. just because someone does it with another synth, doesn`t make it
a bad idea. i have found the creativity of folks on this list to be very
stimulating and enjoyable c) i hate feeling like a second class citizen
because i have ( and like ) a different machine as my core system. as i have
said before, my plan / goal is to build a "best of breed" ( or "mongrel" )
system that has the bits and pieces i like or find unusual from any
manufacturers.
all othe above notwithstanding, let me add that i was very impressed with my
410 module and told paul so. from what i can see, motm stuff is first rate,
great stuff but i think other efforts are at least worthy of tolerance if not
respect.
best,
dave
