Hey folks, I've been using the MOTM-700 for a couple of weeks now, and it's right up there with the MOTM-320 now in terms of usefulness for me. If you haven't checked it out yet, you really should truck on over to the site and read about it. They don't cost a whole lot, either. Basically, it's a pair of switches, both identical in function. In one instance, I used it to switch incoming audio to two outputs and from there to two separate filters. In another, I used it to switch between two waveforms from the MOTM-300 oscillator, using the LFO as a CV source for the switch. But I had the most fun so far with a "dumb" application--sending incoming audio to either one output (and from there through a traditional signal path) or to an empty output (i.e. silence). By manually playing the threshold "switch" knob, I brought in as much or as little of a sequence as I wanted, based on the same CV (from the sequencer) that fed pitch to the VCO. The track's on my site below, called "X to A." I think it shows off MOTM really well. The fat, tubular bass sound that's intermittent near the beginning is the MOTM-300 and 700, using a couple of 420s for filtering. It gets even more fun later on as the filters get more modulation and follows the 777. The rest is TR-909 drum machine (kick filtered by MOTM-440), TR-606 drum machine, EH Deluxe Electric Mistress and FR777.
