Whoops. Almost forgot about the

CEM 3379 VCSP (VC Signal Processor) that has the following in one chip!

1 x 4-pole VCF (configurable for VC resonance)
1 x VCA with CV input
1 x VC Panner with CV input for pan control!!!)

Sounds good to me. The data sheets on Paul's site make a great novella for 
us tech guys. Can't wait to see what happens next episode.

PS the CEM 3378 has a 2 input mixer instead of the panning output if that 
kind of thing turns your crank.
