Mark, at 1/2 inch wide they would have only 1 row of holes.

Yes and no.  The nice black ones we get from Paul are 8-32  However, the
screws we currently use are longer.  Notice Paul is talking about a screw
only 1/4 long here.  I still plan to use the longer ones an drill the wood
out behind the holes as I use nylon washers behind my screws.
