I always sand and primer the metal first. I don't know if the primer is necessary, but the sanding certainly helps. Then I use Super 77 and coat the whole mess with enough polyurethane to keep it all together. So far it's worked fine, but only time will tell. With permanent adhesives, you really have to lay it on and let it dry before putting them together. If nothing you're using is working, try getting some contact cement, the stuff they use to laminate Formica (tm) onto your kitchen counters. Coat that stuff on, let it dry for five minutes, and I guarantee you aren't ever going to get that paper off without soaking the whole thing in solvent. Good luck! -----Original Message----- From: J. I've got about 15 coats of gloss acrylic so it's quite hard and looks kind of like my real Serge stuff (especially with my glasses off!) -- This coating stuff I owe directly to you and Ken! Thanks guys! I'm not through yet however, there's plenty of chances for me to screw it up yet! ------------ Well, it is Ken's brainchild. I just followed his instructions. still a stooge Larry
