That's the most important thing - being able to tell the rats-nest of cables apart from each other when your MOTM system is fully patched. I've made a lot of cables using the Deltron plugs that Mouser sells. The plugs have two indentations, each of which fits a colored-plastic ring. Since there are 9 or 10 colors available, having two colors per patchcord (remember, the ends have to match or the color-coding's worthless) gives 81 or 100 different color combinations. However, soldering cables together is way up there on the tedium index. I'll probably order $100 or so of Kovacky's one of these days ... -Doug ceres@...
