 If you can find one somewhere (I think they are discontinued), the Anatek 
Midi Merger is powered by the Midi port itself. There is no other power 
needed. I got mine pretty cheap, like around $40 or so, and it works great. I 
found mine at my local music store on the bottom display, towards the back of 
the shelf....

There is also a company called Midi Solutions (?) that may have had a 
similarly priced unit.
