MOTM

Quite a few bands do this, actually.  In the SF bay area, there is (was?) a
band called Scar Tissue... Phil, the "guitar player", never actually plucked
or strummed-- instead he would hold toys like ambulances and talking dolls
up to the pickups, or use a vibrator on the strings.

Quite a good band, BTW.  If Scar Tissue doesn't exist, then I'm sure their
other project "Form Alkaline" does still.
