[OT] Spanner

[OT] Spanner

Thanks Mark, Jim and Doc. I wasn't that off topic.

This is a musical processor.

Spanner Stereo Panner (sometimes Spanner Auto Panner)

I know the Mad Professor uses one. I know these are usually found in higher
end studios under miscellaneous effects.

I am having trouble finding more information.

Cheers!

...from Mark...
It's British for a wrench -- the kind with fixed jaws, like what a mechanic
uses to fix cars. In the U.S. it almost always refers to wrench with hook
or pin -- used on collars (like on doorsets), special types of nurs,
flanges, etc.

hello all,
you mean an Audio & Design Spanner (or Stereo Panner)
we've gt one here at the studio, i believe we might even have a manual that
i'd be happy to photocopy and post off to you
anyway, to be brief - it's a two in two out unit, 1u high, you can autopan
with an internal LFO, adjust stereo width, stereo offset (ie have the signal
lean towards the left or right), and some kind of pause control, that
governs how long the signal loiters at the extreme ends of the stereo
spectrum, there's also external LFO control
and a Knightrider style horizontal LED display to annoy the hell out of you
when the unit's not in use

any use..?

cheers
