Redesign my website!

Redesign my website!

2001-08-14 by Paul Schreiber

OK, here is the deal. The current website, athough functional is sort of
lame. So, I'm having a contest.

Here are some initial "rules" send private email for more info.

1) Prize is $1000 module credit!!!!!!
2) You have to help maintain the site for 1 year (create new module pages,
etc). I can do most of it.
3) I need full "source" code, such as Photoshop files, etc.
4) NO Flash/Shockwave/etc. Java/Javascript/Perl/PHP OK. I'm not a Unix
weenie, but my server is.
5) You need to post 'somewhere' where I can test drive the pages.
6) The screens need to size to 1024x786 WITHOUT horizontal scroll bars. No
giant vertical pages like my
God-forsaken NEWS page.
7) No extreme color schemes. Blue letters on black background get immediate
rejection.
8) You can use anything off the current site, or punt the whole mess.
9) The minimum pages (extra consideration for more effort) are

a) Home page (www.synthtech.com)
b) MOTM page (www.synthtech.com/motm)
c) DEMO page (new)
d) Artist page (new) Where folks can see/hear/read about MOTM users
e) any single module page

Voting: everyone gets 1 vote. I thing the Yahoo Groups site can be set up
for a user poll (don't ask me, I'm
not an 'official' member!). The current site is also in the running. No
Flordia-type voter fraud, please :)

Deadline is Sept 30th. Get coding!!!!

10) No anime logos (even if it is actually genuine period New
Constructivism)

and this is from the man...
:-)

would love $1000 worth of modules, but the amount of post computer stress
guinness therapy needed to create a website far outweighs reward (now that's
a lot of guinness - okay, about 324 pints)
cheers

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
