About this RM business

A RM produces the sum and difference of 2 input *audio signals*. For example, if X IN was 100Hz and Y IN was 300Hz, the output is a *mixture* of 200Hz and 400Hz. The output of a RM sounds "metallic" because the resultant mixture of frequencies are not harmonically related (ie based on 12th root of 2 intervals) Here are 2 demos: www.synthtech.com/demo/rm_demo1.mp3 www.synthtech.com/demo/rm_demo2.mp3 Paul S.
