If we reverse the voice order (put Voice 1 on the bottom row), keeping horizontal rows, then 99%
of the users (1 or 2 voice systems) will fill up the 2 lower rows only, keeping the areas around
the LCD and buttons free and clear. You can use the rear MIDI jack and that keeps it as
clutter-free as possible.

If  you go to a vertical layout, it doesn't reduce clutter that much, but some make prefer it.

Let's vote! just vote horizontal or vertical. Look s like right now, its 3 H and 1 V.

If I'm allowed to vote (no modules yet), I vote for the 
horizontal layout, with voice 1 at the bottom row.

Once again I have sent the message to paul only instead of the list.  
I said something to the effect of "Don't count me as voting either 
way, I just wanted to voice the opinion." and "Do these changes have 
significant effect on the overall module design, internally?"  Also, 
if It ends up being a 1234 layout, with a column for each voice, I 
say keep Pitch and Gate on the bottom; but that's all.  Either way is 
fine for me.
