Flat rail update

2004-04-19 by J. Larry Hendry

Many of you have been asking about this out of stock item.

I do have the metal back from the shop. Tonight, my wife and I installed
1600 screws in the holes for quality check and to keep the powdercoat out of
the threads. We should finish up with other 900 or so tomorrow night so I
can et these off to powdercoat this week.

Flat rail update

2004-09-17 by J. Larry Hendry

Since I know several people are waiting on these, here's the latest:

I picked these up from the metal shop a few days ago. Just tonight my wife
and I completed the installation of all the quality assurance screws that
keeps the powdercoat off the threads. Once again, they did a nice job. The
bottom of the hole in the wood sink countersink has a slightly larger
opening. They used the wrong drill. However, that has absolutely no effect
on fit or screw size. A # 6 wood screw is still the correct choice.

Here is the really good news -- no price change. Despite a change in steel
prices, my supplier continues to honor all old quoted prices on all my metal
products. I just restocked all sizes of brackets (over 500 pieces). Again,
no price changes.

Anyhow, flat rails will be powdercoated next week. So, I will make an
announcement when I have my hands on them. Hopefully, I will have most of
my panels shipped before I get them. Those of you getting rails *with* your
panels already are shipping from stock that was reserved for you when you
paid for them.
