OK, I just finished the inventory/backlog. Needless to say, due to the 'June
Rush' before the price increase, it's at a record level.

In order to fund the parts, I *have* to chop the backlog into bits and
ship/buy/ship/buy...etc. This in turn means that I *depend* on everyone to wait
as I do the best I can. I am 100% booked from today until Feb 2005.

The pacing items are: panels and pots (specifically, the Spectrol pcb pots). A
large panel order is due to arrive 1 week from tomorrow, and I just placed an
order for 200+ *additional* panels and 25pr of rails. This is over $9,000 that I
am willing to pay for long before you receive your modules. I will have to buy
approx. $18,000 *more* parts over the next 6 months in order to ship the
backlog. This does NOT include the MIDI-CV converter, either.

I should be OK on the panels, it's the pots I worry about. I have 1000s on
order, but many folks will see their modules in Jan/Feb. Usually, I don't ship
from Dec 15 to Feb 1. But, due to the situation, I will ship what I can,
whenever I can.

So, *please* hold tight while I fight through this. I have the best customers in
the world, and you have my full attention.

they are out of stock for the next 15 weeks!

Looks like Paul has created a world wide shortage. :-)

No Neural Agonizer (9 100K Linear pots) until backlog is restored.

Hi. I'm a newbie.  I just got enough modules
together to start making sound, and now I need a
controller.  i'm trying to set up my system as a sort
of art project, and I'd like to use ventriloquist doll
heads as my keyboard (pull the string-mouth opens-note
plays, release string-note releases). I don't need a
lot of notes, I have about 12 heads. 
   I hope my scheme doesn't offend any purists out
there, because I really need advice about how to rig
the heads to pull this off.
   Any info very much appreciated.

And here I thought today was sort of dull (excluding Buchla re-issuing the
200 Music Box at $20K. Yep.....$20K. Heck, I paid $2500 for mine, what a
deal :)

Anyway: I'd use Omron snap-action switched from Mouser (www.mouser.com).
They can get pretty small, and have a nice "click" to them like a mouse
button. Then, each on can runn off a 9V battery, a low-power voltage
reference (say 2.50V) and use a 20-turn trim pot to tune the 'note' CV
out.

You can't have one of these yet!  Can *anybody* have one of these yet?  
It's totally new and quite awesome looking.  The Control and Signal 
Router is way cool.  In fact every one of those modules blows my mind 
(to use a very appropos 70's expression).  Where did I put that spare 
$20,000?  Now if my wife isn't looking....  It would sure be fun to play 
with that Music Box.  I wonder how many they have sitting on the shelf, 
ready to ship.
