Hi, I just browsed the tutorial http://www.synthtech.com/tutor/tutor1.html Paul advises a good DVM and refers to his Fluke 87. Is that the predecessor of the current model 187? Is it still recommendable? (I'd say "yes") I'm in the market for a new, good DMM (DVM for a lifetime so to speak), hence my question. thanks, Michael.

I highly recommend the Extech Multimaster 560 - better precision at lower cost than Tektronix or Fluke. John Loffink The Microtonal Synthesis Web Site http://www.microtonal-synthesis.com The Wavemakers Synthesizer Web Site http://www.wavemakers-synth.com

(I'd say "yes") I really like my Fluke 177, especially the backlight. -->Neil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Neil Bradley "If you owe the bank $100, it's your problem.
