Expected kit delivery times

Expected kit delivery times

2006-10-11 by Paul Schreiber

I'm starting to get a few "where is my stuff" emails. So, please read the
following:

a) as of today, there are over 340 kits that are on order, but *not yet built
up*
b) as you can imagine, it is going to take some TIME to build up these kits
(about 45,000 individual parts)
c) also, I don't have all 45,000 parts *in stock*
d) this means that many kits will not ship until mid-Nov/early December and some
in *January* ('510s, mostly).
e) your order will not get charged until it is ready to ship (within 7 days) or
you *tell me to*.
f) there are 72 completed kits in Indiana. However, these are going to be added
to about 194 new kits that will be made up (kitting begins Monday). If you have
not received kits (or have received some, but not all kits), the current backlog
is around Order #243. We are going to hold off most shipping until the number of
kits in *stock* is around 200, then we will start shipping again where we left
off. The reason is to assure no partial shipments. When will shipping start back
up? I am guessing around October 24th. These 200 kits should get us up to Order
#385 or so.Then, we will stop and do the "last and final" kits to take us to kit
completion.

So please: unless you are going to be out of town or something, hold off on the
"where's my stuff" emails. Now, if you have a REALLY old order (pre-shopping
cart) and are wondering, those emails are OK :)

I *promise* everyone will get their stuff. There *may* be 1 person that ordered
a '890 that I can't ship because I miscounted front panels.
