All,
  I built an am happy with my 440.
It worked fine and filtered away happily until today.  I set everything up as 
usual and when I turned my amp on the filter sounded like a noise source  : ( 
  Even with nothing plugged into the input or nay of the other jacks it emits 
white noise.  This noise IS filtered by the freq knob.  The filter still 
filters external inputs as normal but its now way noisy.  So..?   I keep it 
all unplugged when not in use.  The only thing I did since the last time I 
used it was to move it in my rack over 2 spaces.  I also moved my 410 at the 
same time but its working just fine.  All the power plugs and stuff are 
secure and Upon first glance nothing seems bent or making bad contact.  (Not 
that anything should be bent or moved since this stuff stays in my room and 
no one even cares about it enough to give it a second glance let alone mess 
with it.)  If it helps, today I had my K5000 plugged into the 440 with my 320 
doing the modulation thing and then the 440 out to my Amp.  This is my usual 
setup and it has worked in the past.
