I never get tired of that one!
BTW, I can do that too!

Better yet, how many MOTM listers does it take?
Let's see: one to ask, "Does it have a reversing attenuator?" Another to ask,
"Can we get blinking LEDs?" Another to say, "But John this would be so cool!
It's normalized so that everything goes everywhere, but when you insert a
plug, nothing goes nowhere!" Yet another to ask, "Is this a vocoder?" And
another to mention, "Werner Meyer-Eppler used light bulbs as well!" And
another, "Iggy Pop used to eat light bulbs I think." Further, "Is it
programed in C?" "Will the source code be available?" "Hey! Where's the
sequencer?" "Quantizer! Quantizer! Quantizer!" "What? No VC sustain?"

And I'm just getting started! C'mon Shemp! Throw some exclamation marks my
way!

"Well, I can change it now, but without that new VC Lag processor it
just won't be as fun..."

"I shouldn't have to change it manually, I should be able to change
lightbulbs under voltage control."

"I'll just sit here in the dark until the JH lightbulb comes out."

"I designed my wooden case w/ an extra space for a Furman power
conditioner with pull out light tubes, so I wouldn't have to rely
on that lightbulb."

"Real synthesists patch in the dark."

Kenton makes a CV / light bulb changer converter...the Bulb Master 2000EZ.

When combined with the Pro-2000, you can change any bulb in your house using
Cake Walk.

Although that sounds cool, I am holding out for the version with real
knobs.

Real MOTMer's use only ANALOG Bulb masters.

Module lust (not love)

Sorry for my outburst yesterday. I dealt with the problem for 90,000 people
and was tired of hearing about it. I was trying to escape all day by
daydreaming about analog modular synthesizers, especially MOTMs! (please
note non-gratuitous use of preceding exclamation mark) I kept fantasizing
about all of the wonderful new modules Paul was going to be releasing this
summer and fall. And then I started to get pissed when I thought about him
going on vacation and delaying my fantasies! I then I rationalized that he
will be all rested up and can make modules twice as fast when he returns.
Some of the MOTM modules I was dreaming about (both real and fantasy):

Analog Reverb (with huge tank the way Paul likes it)
Joystick port
Phaser
Analog Delay
Pre-amp
Amplified speaker
Mult
Headphone amp
VCEG
EG with delay
EG with trigger button
Control panel with buttons and pots and sliders and offsets etc.
Mixer (CV and audio)
Blank panels to cover the rack rails
Blank panels with the MOTM logo on them
LFO with trigger button

lots more, but that's enough for now

Cheers!
Shemp
