Re: [motm] Panel Help and CEM Classic Series

Hi all, Just my thoughts on the Curtis stuff... >CEM3320 Good VCF. See the Oberheim OB range for ideas on this. I like the 2-pole version on the OB-Sx and others. One problem, the 3320 has terrible CV breakthrough at low values of resonance. >CEM3310 Horribly unreliable. I'm taking most of my 3310s out of my stuff bit by bit. Why? Because they keep on dying, and you can't get them anymore in decent quantities. Save them for the repairs. Build J\ufffdrgen's VCHADSR instead. Works very well. >CEM3340 VCO Good but use the single external transistor for hard sync. Nice chip, especially if you run it off +12V and -5V. Much better stability. However, it doesn't sound as good as the Mk3 MiniMoog VCO... don't ask me why, I don't know.
