Cables and New Shiat

Cables and New Shiat

2000-08-08 by thomas white

Hey all,

The cost to make my cables is $2.70 for the Metal Connectors (Hosa not
Switchcraft cause I get a wholesale deal through my job) and $.10 a foot for
the cable. Shrink is cheap in long pieces even in different colors. Check
Mouser.com. That makes it $3.00 for a 3 foot cable so your order would have
only cost $90 if you searched around for a deal on connectors. E-Bay
sometimes also has connectors for sale in lots. I can buy connectors for
yu'se guys who are intersted. The connectors are very similar to switchcraft
and of good quality for sure. I can get them for $1.35 each from my work.
Please mail me directly with requests and we can work out the details. Long
live MOTM and the friendliness and helpfulness of this list!

PS. There are interesting happenings at Wiard.com right now with a new
series of modules called the 1200 series. He have a 256 waveform EPROM
waveshaper module built on a 3-space frack rak panel with 1/8" jacks for
$200. Also a Frac Rak mounted joystick controller for $80, also with 1/8"
jacks. Normally these modules in their bigger 300 series form are like 5
modules/functions in one. These modules are supposed to provide the
different parts about the bigger modules on modules by themselves for less
$$$. I ordered the waveshaper module since my Blacet rack aint filling up so
fast these days. (Waiting for the delay!) I can only imagine the twisted
devil souled waveshaper mangler module that Paul could come up with... Hint
hint hint
