FW: [motm] Chaos sound

That's a tough one, and don't forget that a chaoscillator may have more important uses as a control module than an audio one. But from what little experience I've had, as you sweep the 'frequency,' it can sound like all sorts of weird, evolving, strangely filtered noise, but every now and then you hit a setting where a pure but animated tone will leap out and the noise will disappear. The pure tones can sound very acoustic. But they aren't evenly spaced enough that you can just "play" them if you know what I mean. Hey, if the "Chua" oscillator is patented, I have another idea for a "Chia" oscillator that, once watered, starts producing fuzzy-sounding timbres... ;)

Does it sound like a crazy oscillator in that pitches are pretty distinguishable, or does it sound like a wacky noise generator that swoops and dashes all over the damn place? Or does it sound completely different?
