Is it worth the money in your opinion? Will you buy more panels from
them in the future?

I'd like to know about this too. I know some of you have ordered panels,
and have been very happy with them. Certainly, from my own experience,
they are very good panels. The finish is quite different from the MOTM
ones. More like the early Moog's in some respects. But in my opinion
they don't clash visually with the MOTM modules. I think they complement
each other well. I reckon the price is around 20UKP to 30UKP per panel
for delivery to the UK. You're best off buying several at any one time
to save on the one off postage charge.

This is still off a little ways as Moe and I are still reeling from the last
overwhelming response. However, we are looking at ways to tweak the process
of delivering his MOTM clone panels. I know for US buyers the price will
continue to be MUCH better than the nice overseas panels. Stay tuned for
more after I get through all of these brackets and Moe makes some progress
on his wood cabinet.

Hi everybody,

I am curious who on the list has purchased panels from Schaeffer in Germany
for the Oakley kits? How much does a Wavefolder sized panel run? Is it worth
the money in your opinion? Will you buy more panels from them in the future?
Help!

PS. How fast was production and shipping to US?

I'd prefer to get an official Stooge style panel for the Wavefolder (I don't
know about the Schafer panels) if only due to cost -- I think there was some
interest for this if there is a second panel run.

I have a Schaeffer panel for my Wavefolder. Cost currently is about
$24.00. The shipping is around $25.00 and takes (to New York) about a
week and a half. It is certainly better (as Tony mentioned) to order
several at once as the cost is mostly a shipping surcharge. The Panels
look great and in my opinion I prefer engraving to silkscreening.
However if you decide to add tick marks around the pots you will double
the cost. The exchange rate is quite good right now though over 2 to 1.
The service is excellent and Kai Schaeffer will usually email back the
same day. I have Superladder, Multimix, Time Machine and Darkstar panels
on the way. The software works great and now even has English help! No
slight intended towards the Stooge panels as the pictures I have seen
look great. Will I be the only one with an 822 and a foreign panel?
Best, Charles.

You will all get a chance to vote soon on panels to include in the
second run. So far, I've heard more requests for the WaveFolder than
anything else.

I'll jump right on the front panel bandwagon for the wavefolder. Or
an
Allgood filter panel.

I'd be interested in seeing pics of everything assembled when you get
it all together. Maybe you could post some...

Maybe. There are a lot of 822s and 831s out there that were sold after the last panel run. FYI on those considering the choice, I certainly do not want to sound like I am pushing the Stooge approved MOTM look alike panel on anyone. It's just nice (thanks to Dave Bradley) to have a choice. The last run of 831 and 822 silk-screened panels were sold for $15. The next round will be that same price or $1 lower.
At least I know the 822 will be mounted to the panel with a Stooge Engineering metal bracket. :)

I am committed to a fair sized set of Oakley modules in MOTM format. I
think they are great especially if you are too dumb to use anything made
after 82 like me. I can't hang with those Euro prices for panels. I
too am hoping that the stooges can cook us some panels.

I want Wavefolder and Superladder filter panels. I also have the triple
EG that would look good with the MOTM look.

Keep them the same price and use the profits to invest in future projects/runs. Or buy yourself an ice cream cone. Yummy!
