Very cool! I'll add my voice to the chorus of thanks!

However, it's too late for me and my Time Machine. So, I'm looking for
suggestions about where to dril the holes to mount it to my brackets.
Looking for spots with no components or traces, I've found the following
locations:

Between R1 and R2, in the upper left corner of the board
Between R3 and R4, in about the middle of the left edge of the board
Between D3 ands RN8, about the middle of the bottom edge
To the right of U15, about 1/3 of the way down the right edge

My question, to John or anyone else building the Time Machine in a MOTM
package, is, will I seriously screw up anything if I drill in these
locations? Any better suggestions?

2 of my drill locations are identical to your last two on this list. One
alternative is right next to the power connector (as close as you can get it
to fit, between "com" and "com"

As far as the front of the board, I am using the existing holes that were
provided for the pot mounting brackets. Only one connects to a trace (avoid
that one). The others are free. I am using # 2-56 nuts and bolts too so
the holes can stay small.

That's my $.02

I'm gonna try:

top left - drill out the bracket pad right next to the 'R1' legend
bott left - the small bare spot between the legends 'R5' and 'RT4'
top right - directly between U15 and the edge
bott right - in the extreme corner

Larry points out the need to use a smaller diameter head and thread
size. I'd go one further and use a nylon bolt, just to be 100% safe.

If you could use a non-drilling method of mounting you might be better
off. I suggest some sort of bracket that holds the PCB by the edges.
Cruise the catalogs. One idea that you might try is to get some nylon
screws and nuts. If you are mounting to a base plate, drill four holes
in the base plate at the periphery of the board. You want the screws to
just clear the PCB. Pop in the screw and fasten with one nut. Add
another nut up the screw a ways; the PCB will sit on this nut. Add one
more nut to sit on top of the PCB and clamp down on the bottom nut. (No,
I havn't actually tried this...)

Otherwise, any place that you don't drill through a trace is OK. Maybe
try nylon screws? 4-40 is plenty big enough and only needs a .125 hole.
